With over 10 years in the making ALASKA HIGHWAY EXPLORER® has been no simple task. Milepost after Milepost, this book shows every point of interest up and down the Historic Alaska Highway. On the maps, the longest distance between subjects is 21.5 miles (34.6km), while the shortest distance is .05 miles (.08km). Workers have shortened the roadway by approximately 72.5 miles (119.7 km) since the highway's construction in 1942.
